Went out to the Lions Club event Trade Tracks in Fergus ON. (May 2023) to see what this event was all about. It was a fantastic place to connect with industry. Looking to find work, understand what type of opportunities are out there, helping young people be exposed to these opportunities…
We saw many high school students checking out what the future has to hold. We hope that everybody left with some perspective.
Not sure where our kids will fall in terms of career but we plan on making sure they understand the full spectrum available.

Find what you love and make it into a career or find a career that already exists in that area. Don’t let someone else’s perspective sway you away from that pull you feel towards what’s meant for you. If you do, it will just take longer to get there (your true happiness). None of it is wasted time thought. All that happens on your path is for you at the time you need it. A collection of experiences that have made you, YOU.
So share and experience as much opportunity as you can to our young people. while listening to the areas they show interest. This is how they will start to discover what they like in a world of things that need to get done.
We need every position filled by curious, growth driven people. Encouraging people to find something they like, rather than something others think will be the answer to some stereotypical equation they believe means success…
Success comes in so many forms and it starts with being happy.
Do what you love and love what you do…
Is everyday perfect, far from it.
Even if you are doing what you love, sometimes it can still feel like a giant weight bring you down.
I believe that feeling or weight of discomfort is for growth. Comfort typically doesn’t drive forward motion. But what does that mean in a position you love. It could be an opportunity for self work, inward personal development. Possibly, value of self is not inline with reality. Or that your value is being taken advantage of. It doesn’t mean you have to up and leave. Especially if it is a place and thing you love.
This is where hard feelings show up. “I love it, so why do I feel this way?” SO so so many factors can create this. But introspective is the start to understanding. The start of giving self grace. For this perfect picture of a successful life is different for all.
