Every year for more than I can remember, I have seen and felt the opposite of what the holidays seems to be about.
Joy, community and love all around, sharing the connection of belief and celebration of the freedoms bound.
But there is something about Christmas Eve through all the joy and celebration, there’s an emotion.
A feeling of being drained, low, I don’t know what words to bestow.
For years I thought it to be the burnout from the busyness leading up through the doubt.
Of being prepared for the spectacular time shared.
But recently through reflection, I believe it’s from another direction.
It’s the energy of the ones left behind.
The ones who are looking for one more time.
It’s the empty, from missing a person(s) at your table.
For Christmas and the holiday season is a reminder of their fable.
Though the stories and memories are joyous.
The pain of the no new memories with someone is enormous.
I always wondered why the holidays could have me cry…
But now I understand why…
It’s from the energy of goodbye…
For everyone out there feeling this low.
May your loved ones light embrace you with a glow.
For the Stars, the Sun and the Moonlight are forever shining bright. With the love and intention of the ones you hope others mention.

The night and connection was kismet. I asked Susannah for a candle to light for Ashton and she brought me one with 3 wicks… I instantly thought of Alley, Arya and Ian too. Who are only a few who stopped by my mind to hug me this Christmas Eve. There are so many who hold our hearts that will always be a part of the Holidays whether you realize it or not, grateful to remember and feel their energy ember always around in a glow.
